Hi June 6-8 was the latest Nationwide Truck Inspection effort put forth by truck enforcement authorities. The most common equipment issues are as follows:
1. Lights, not working. All lights, including the extra ones, should be working.
2. Tires, not enough tread 4/32's on steer tires, 2/32's everywhere else.
3. Fire extinguisher, discharged or not permanently mounted.
4. FHWA Inspection expired ( annual inspection of your truck and trailer, usually on a sticker)
5. Cargo, not properly secured or loaded. If you use chains they must be grade 70, the binders too.
6. Leaks, fuel, engine oil, gear lube, and axle seals.
I notice that brake adjustment is not on this list, so it seems the automatic slack adjusters are working.
Road Ready can fix all of the above items, and these and many more are part of our routine maintenance inspection we do when your unit is in our shop for service. And, please remember we make recommendations, you the Customer decide on what gets done to your equipment.
Thanks for your business.
